Seeking a Senior Manager, Compliance with a strong background in the financial industry to handle risk and compliance matters in Tokyo office

Our client is a large organisation in the REIT/Private Fund sector with a significant presence in the global market. They are known for their emphasis on professional development and commitment to creating a positive work environment.

職務内容

  • Oversee and manage compliance programs within the organization.
  • Ensure the company's policies and procedures meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure regulaotry compliance with 金商法 (Financial Instruments and Exchange Act)
  • In internal procedures such as signing, confirm whether there is any violation of laws and regulations or internal rules, and instruct employees in charge to make improvements, if necessary.
  • Implement training and development programs on compliance matters.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure compliance procedures are followed.
  • Stay updated on industry changes and advancements pertaining to compliance.
  • Resolve compliance issues in cooperation with Group Legal Team and, if necessary, with the input of outside counsel.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff who perform compliance duties so that they can do appropriately.

理想の人材

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Financial Industry, and REIT/Private Fund exposure would be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • English is not mandatory since this position will deal with Japanese legal and regulation, especially 金商法 (Financial Instruments and Exchange Act) Ability to read and write English is sufficient for the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and teams.
  • Proficiency in risk management and corporate governance.
