Job Description

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of customs clearance processes.
  • Preparation and declaration of air and sea import and export declaration documents
  • Confirm the information necessary for customs clearance, such as product contents, with the customer
  • Customs response such as customs question-and-answer sessions, customs inspections, and posting of declaration documents
  • Import and export quarantine procedures (animal quarantine, plant quarantine, food notification)

The Successful Applicant

A successful Custom Clearance Supervisor/Senior should have:

  • Proficiency in logistics and customs clearance processes.
  • Customs Clearance Qualification
  • Strong understanding of import/export regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A degree in logistics, business, or a related field.
  • Fluent Japanese, English reading comprehension skills necessary for customs clearance (high English proficiency is not required)
