Job Description

The Import Operation Specialist will be a member of the Operation Department and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from import operations for dental medical products and related parts (materials) to delivery date responses and inventory management.

  • International air cargo status management Negotiate with major international logistics companies and manage international logistics operations to ensure delivery delays.
  • Import customs clearance management Share necessary information with major customs brokers in a timely manner and manage import customs clearance to be carried out smoothly.
  • Delivery date response Respond to delivery date inquiries from internal customers. If necessary, confirm shipping schedules with overseas manufacturers
  • Inventory management Regularly review and analyze inventory to avoid overstocking, and share the results with the Global team
  • Project Management Participate in cross-departmental internal projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful SCM Import Operation Specialist should have:

  • 3 years or more experience in international logistics management
  • 3 years or more practical experience in supply chain related work (purchasing / production planning / inventory management / etc.)
  • Communication skills and cooperation in interpersonal negotiations and collaboration
  • Fluent Japanese, Business level English communication skills
  • Experience using ERP (SAP / Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferable)
