We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance department. The successful candidate will primarily handle accounting, month-end closing and year-end closing activities in the Fashion industry.
  • Up to 9M JPY, 2 days WFH, Flex time with Core Time 11-15 and low OT!

Our client is a large-sized organisation operating in the Retail and Apparel industry. They are renowned for their comprehensive range of fashion goods and have a significant presence in both local and global markets. With a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, they are a leader in their industry.

Job Description

  • Monitor AP aging and issue payment requests for Account Payables
  • Maintain general ledger and perform month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Adhere to accounting controls in compliance with USGAAP
  • Manage fixed assets and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Prepare payment list in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain bank master and Vendor List, ensuring all information is updated and accurate

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

  • A solid understanding and proficiency in AP Accounting
  • Strong skills in English and Japanese, both verbal and written
  • A strong ability to manage general ledger and perform month-end closing
  • Experience in accounting control, particularly within the Retail industry
  • Experience with Fixed Asset management
