Job Description

  • Support the creation of the 5-year strategic plan, contributing to long-term financial forecasting and aligning business objectives with financial targets.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis, comparing actual performance against budgeted and forecasted figures.
  • Focus on costing and purchase price variance (PPV) to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights for cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the general accounting functions, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports to senior management, ensuring transparency and clear communication of financial performance.
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects, including audits, system implementations, and process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a finance manager role within the industry sector.
  • Bachelor degree or above.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
  • Proficiency in SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fluency in Japanese and business level English.
  • Sound communication skills across divisions and global to be a good business partner
