This is an in-house IT Specialist role with a global retail company, responsible for supporting and improving core systems such as SAP and POS, leading system implementations, and collaborating with both global teams and local vendors. The position combines hands-on technical support with project coordination, aiming to enhance IT operations across stores and offices in Japan.

Job Description



  • Operate, maintain, and improve core business systems, including SAP ERP and POS, along with related system integrations.


  • Collaborate with global IT teams and local departments to support system rollouts and ensure smooth implementation of global IT projects in Japan.


  • Drive system and operational improvements across both retail stores and office environments using IT solutions.


  • Lead local IT projects, including system enhancements and new tool implementation tailored to Japan's operations.


  • Act as a liaison with domestic vendors to communicate technical requirements and manage IT-related issues.


  • Provide hands-on IT support and helpdesk services to internal users, ensuring business continuity and user satisfaction.



The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate is a proactive IT professional with around 5 years of experience in system support, implementation, or improvement projects. They have strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of system architecture, and a keen interest in learning new technologies. Business-level English is required, and candidates should be comfortable working in a global environment and communicating across teams. Familiarity with SAP, POS systems, or retail industry operations is a plus, along with a collaborative mindset and a strong motivation to drive IT improvements locally.
