The Contract Manufacturing Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing and improving the procurement and supply chain processes within the life sciences industry. This role can be based anywhere in Japan as long as you can visit Tokyo office 2-3 days per month.

Job Description

  • Oversee the procurement and supply chain processes for contract manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor contract manufacturing performance and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable contract manufacturing network.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement and supply chain policies and procedures.
  • Participate in contract negotiation and management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Contract Manufacturing Specialist should have:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a procurement and supply chain role within the life sciences industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities.
  • A solid understanding of contract manufacturing processes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese.
