Job Description

  • Building Supplier Relationships: Proactively identify potential partners, foster long-term relationships based on transparency and trust, and align agreements with business needs and shared values.
  • Shaping Sourcing Roadmaps: Design and drive procurement initiatives that support innovation and growth, working closely with partners and internal teams to bring new ideas and products to market.
  • Driving Operational Excellence: Collaborate across functions to identify opportunities for cost optimization, streamline procurement activities, and enhance efficiency through thoughtful use of technology and process redesign.
  • Championing Ethical Practices: Engage with global counterparts to promote responsible sourcing, embedding environmental and social considerations into day-to-day procurement decisions and long-term plans.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Team Leader, Beverages Procurement should have:

  • Food Industry Procurement Expertise: At least 5 years of experience in sourcing food-related products within food service, manufacturing, or trading environments, with a track record of contributing to quality, reliability, and innovation across diverse teams and suppliers.
  • End-to-End Value Chain Engagement: Hands-on experience managing the full procurement lifecycle - from identifying and nurturing supplier partnerships to implementing strategic sourcing initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborative Supplier Partnerships & Negotiations: Skilled in fostering long-term, trust-based relationships with suppliers, navigating complex negotiations, and leading inclusive process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support agile, responsive supply chains.
  • Language & Communication: Fluent in Japanese and proficient in business-level English, with the ability to communicate effectively across cultures and build strong working relationships in both local and global contexts.
