Job Description

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in expanding the company's footprint in Japan's industrial automation sector. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales & Business Development: Identify, target, and engage potential customers in manufacturing, packaging, and logistics industries.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their automation needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Solution Selling: Work closely with the engineering team to develop customized automation proposals that meet customer requirements.
  • Market Analysis: Research and analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and customer demands to develop strategic sales approaches.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Handle the full sales process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams such as engineering, project management, and technical support to deliver seamless automation solutions.



The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual who thrives in a technical sales environment. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in factory automation, conveyors, robotics, instruments, PLCs, or related fields.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of automation solutions and industrial processes is preferred.
  • Sales Ability: Strong track record of business development, lead generation, and closing deals.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to engage with engineers, procurement teams, and senior decision-makers.
  • Language: Fluent Japanese (required); business-level English (preferred).
  • Mindset: Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about technical sales and industrial automation.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel within Japan to meet customers and attend industry events.
